Steven Michaud, President, joined MHA in
1987 and became President in 1999. In this capacity, he is responsible
for the overall strategic direction and management of the Association
and its affiliates.

Tamara Butts, FHFMA, CPA, Director of Business
Development and Administration, joined MHA in 1991. She manages
MHA's Associated Health Resources, Inc., MHA's environmental initiatives
and supervises business office functions. Tamara has overall responsibility
for the MHA Corporate Affiliate Program and Desk Reference Guide.
She also assists MHA members on financial and reimbursement issues.

Desirea
Wakefield Chase, CMSR, Marketing/Recruitment, joined the Maine
Recruitment Center as a full-time staff member in 2006. Desirea
became a Certified Medical Staff Recruiter in early 2007 and now
assists in all recruitment areas. She also helps develop marketing
materials for dierect mailings and trade shows. |

Leslie Gagne, Education Assistant, joined
the staff of MHA in the fall of 1996. Leslie is responsible for
the administrative support of the Research & Education Trust
where she assists in the coordination of educational programs.
She also provides support for the Hospital Trustee Delegates,
Healthcare Trustees of Maine and allied health professional associations.

Paula
Gagnon, Administrative Assistant, joined the MHA staff in the
spring of 2002. In addition to providing administrative support
for MHA staff, Paula performs other daily functions in the office
including maintaining office databases and answering incoming calls
. Paula also provides administrative support for MHA's Association
councils and committees. |

Candace
Goggin, Executive Assistant, joined MHA in the summer of 1996.
She provides administrative support to the President and the Vice
President of Government Affairs and Communications where she coordinates
legislative information, MHA's political action committee, the MHA
Board of Directors, Public Policy Council. Candace also coordinates
regional roundtables and the AHA Annual Meeting. |

Carlene Haggerty, Staff Accountant, joined
MHA in 1995. Carlene is responsible for the day-to-day business
office functions and preparation of internal financial statements.
She also coordinates and compiles information for clinical and
financial data reports and member surveys. Carlene is Network
Administrator for MHA's computer system.

Jane
Ham, Director, Maine Recruitment Center, joined MHA in 1999.
Jane is responsible for the Maine Recruitment Center, which was
created in 1999 to bring physicians and other health care providers
to Maine. |

Mary
Mayhew, Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications,
joined MHA in 1999. Mary is the Association's principal lobbyist
and has overall responsibility for policy development and advocacy
activities at the state and federal level. Mary is also responsible
for the association's communications. She staffs the Public Policy
Council and the Hospital Public Relations Directors meetings and
is the Treasurer of MHA's political action committee, Friends of
Maine Hospitals. |

Sandra Parker, Vice President and General
Counsel, joined MHA in 1998. She serves as general counsel to
the Association and provides legal information to MHA members.
Sandra is also responsible for policy analysis and development
for key health policy issues, such as quality of care and public
trust.

Becky
Schnur, Director of Communications, joined MHA in early 2002.
Becky is responsible for researching, writing, editing, designing
and coordinating production of MHA newsletters, fact sheets, brochures,
news releases and other printed materials. She is responsible for
maintaining the MHA website. |

Carol
Sinclair, MPA, Director of Education, joined the staff of MHA
in 1996. As Director of Education, she has overall responsibility
for the development of MHA's educational programs, including membership
meetings, workshops, Trustee education, web conferences and Joint
Commission programs. Carol also spearheads MHA's Care Learning training
initiative and coordinates the activities of Trustee Delegates. |

Cal
Weaver, CPC, Medical Staff Recruiter, joined the MHA staff in
the fall of 2000. Cal is a Certified Personnel Consultant assigned
to the Maine Recruitment Center, where he applies his skills and
experience to the task of recruiting primary care and other physicians
to join hospitals and practices across Maine. Cal is also a speaker
and consultant on recruitment and retention issues. |

David
Winslow, Vice President of Financial Policy, joined MHA in 2003.
David staffs the Health Care Finance Council and works with hospital
financial officers and reimbursement managers on financial concerns
including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurer reimbursement.
David also advises members on Certificate of Need and health planning-related
issues and works to develop strategy for financial policy. |
