Let's Go! offers free online course

Let’s Go!, an obesity prevention program of the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, has partnered with the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation to release a free online course that aims to equip pediatric providers with effective, evidence-based tools to guide their patients to better health.

The online course consists of 22 modules of 10 minutes or less each.  Maine Medical Center designates this educational activity for a maximum of 5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  CME credits are given after completion of all modules.

The course is based on the recently published “Next Steps: A Practitioner's Guide For Themed Follow-up Visits For Their Patients.” The guide consists of 18 different strategies or “themes” that can be customized to families’ needs.  Themes range from portion sizes and healthy drinks to physical activity and understanding healthy foods.  To purchase the Next Steps guide, visit the American Academy of Pediatrics Web site.
